Las Vegas is known as Marriage Paradise because it is easy, fast, and exciting. Each year approximately 120,000 marriage ceremonies are performed in Las Vegas.

After you and your loved one get your license, the next question is, where do we get married? What location should we choose? Your first thought might be a nice wedding chapel with an Elvis impersonator, or some other impersonator singing a love song to make the ceremony a very special one.

Or, if you want go cheaper, you might decide to simply get married in front of a Clark County Commissioner of Civil Marriages in Downtown Las Vegas. This is an inexpensive, fast, and uncomplicated option.

But keep in mind that there are so many other options and opportunities. For example, getting married on Mount Charleston, which is only one hour outside of Las Vegas, provides a much cooler and quieter environment than the heat and busyness of Las Vegas.

Or consider the option of getting married on a boat at Lake Mead. You’ll be surrounded by the beautiful Black Mountains–a picturesque landscape that is perfect for impressive, memorable photos.

Not afraid of heights? Consider having an unforgettable experience while overlooking the Las Vegas Strip in a helicopter–especially at night with a sea of lights underneath–this is sure to be a long lasting memory!

Another popular place to get married is at the famous Las Vegas Welcome Sign. Of course, Elvis could be there as well, driving up with his pink Cadillac and singing his favorite songs.

Another very special place is the wonderful Red Rock Canyon, located at the eastern corner of the Mojave Desert. Only about 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, this venue is in high demand because of the picturesque landscape and beautiful, colorful mountains.

And keep in mind that there are many Las Vegas Casinos/Hotels who offer a wide range of ceremonies to chose from.

The best way to go about this is to find THE special place first, then to contact a wedding officiant or a wedding planner. They can plan a ceremony just for you and your loved one. But, always be aware that the officiant should show you their permission ID number as issued by a County Clerk before any planning is started.

With good planning ahead, nothing can go wrong.

Good luck and have fun!
